Volunteer/Auxiliary Services
At Meeker Memorial Hospital (MMH), we offer volunteer opportunities in our Auxiliary and throughout the hospital to create a positive experience for our visitors, patients and the community.
Auxiliary Mission
To work together with the administration in our hospital to improve
services and try to make our hospital more homelike for patients.
Our aim is to give service rather than gain recognition.
To acquaint our community with the services of our hospital and its
benefit to the people of the area.
To encourage more members to join the Auxiliary and help with our volunteer work.
Auxiliary volunteer opportunities:

MMH Open Door Gifts
- Open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. & Sat. 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- Offers unique shopping experience with gifts for the home, personal and seasonal gift buying needs.
- Volunteers for the gift shop are not always Auxiliary members but help patients through the gift of time and support to MMH patient services.
- Making special holiday gifts given to babies born on Easter and Christmas
- Making handmade tray favors to brighten patient meals for holidays and special occasions
- Volunteering, planning and preparing for fundraising events, to support patient services at MMH
- Decorating at Christmas
- Volunteering at the Meeker County Fair
Additional Volunteer opportunities
- Information and assistance at the Information Desk in the Main Lobby
- Greet people as they enter MMH
- Escort people to their destination
- Deliver mail and flowers to patients
- Read or take part in an activity with patients
- Accompany patients that may be alone after a procedure or during a wait period
