Meeker Memorial Hospital Chapel Blessing

A formal blessing marks the end of construction and the beginning of use. On Tuesday, February 16th, members of Litchfield Area Ministerial Association (LAMA) joined hands with hospital staff, volunteers and visitor for the blessing of the new Meeker Memorial Hospital Chapel.

Meeker Memorial Hospital strives to provide holistic care that nurtures patients' minds, bodies and spirits; nevertheless, with all the activity that takes place in a hospital, it can be challenging to find a quiet place to gather thoughts. But thanks to the vision of many people a new Chapel was included in the expansion/renovation.

Pastor Mike Zylstra, Litchfield Christian Church provided the theme for the chapel campaign project "Embracing Family Wellness – Nurturing Spiritual Wholeness."  His theme summarizes the faith community partnering with the Hospital in a holistic approach to reach our goal. A key point for the ministerial support is as a County Hospital, we want to serve all faiths – churched and unchurched- and be certain that philanthropy is used for all the costs associated with the chapel.
